Diana logs into Palia like she always does: headset on, slippers up, a half-cold cup of cinnamon tea nearby.
In the real world, she’s just relaxing after a long day of mothering, but in Palia, she becomes AnxiousMamiChapaa.
Her avatar spawns at the usual spot: a chaotic plot full of half-started projects.
It’s beautiful. Peaceful.
She starts with the basics, foraging, chopping trees with that satisfying whack-whack sound. Occasionally she stops to fish or smoke bomb in hand, chasing glowbugs.
None of that compares to hunting.
Hunting makes her heart race.
Makes her feel alive.
There’s something deep and ancient about it. It's like the echoes of Diana, goddess of the moon and hunt, come to life every time a sernuk darts through the clearing. She doesn’t think, she just aims and shoots. Her hands move before she does. Her body remembers something she never learned.
She just needs to shoot.
She tells herself it’s just a stress relief.
A way to zone out.
A break from the real world, but the real world is starting to blur.
Beneath the bright pixels of Palia, something sinister pulses.
The cute chapaas?
They aren’t just critters! They’re trapped souls, locked in a loop, living the same moment of terror over and over.
The sernuks?
Old wanderers, whose dreams have become cages.
Each time they respawn, they remember everything, just long enough to feel the fear again.

Un día precioso en el bosque del saúco, Fium Amazona Sonic Boom y Sandía Pripra decidieron que era un día genial para deforestar.
¿La meta? Conseguir 10 semillas de árbol.
¿La cantidad de árboles que iban a cortar para lograr su objetivo?
La respuesta es: sí.

Ambas estaban tan felices como un imperio capitalista en la selva amazónica. Cuando los árboles se acabaron y el último de ellos se alzó ante ellas, no lo dudaron… No esperaban la avalancha de muujis que las empujó en direcciones distintas.

Sandía Pripra estaba consternada; sin embargo, Fium Amazona Sonic Boom señaló con toda convicción que, ahora que los muujis no tenían hogar por su causa, era su deber moral no dejarlos sufrir el destino de la indigencia.

El resto de la hermosa tarde se dedicaron a erradicar a la desvalida especie. Varios oogopus sobrevivientes de antiguas cacerías se mofaban sobre cómo, por fin, el par de sanguinarias cazadoras los dejó tranquilos y decidieron enmarcar aquel día como un festivo para su especie llamado “Temporada de Muujin”.

En un punto, mientras Sandía Pripra cargaba con costales llenos de cadáveres viendo a lo lejos la carnicería, decidió que simplemente ignoraría decirle que las antiguas casas de muujin se regeneraban a su paso. Por supuesto, todo esto era un acto altruista. ¿Quién era ella para interferir con los actos de bondad de su compañera? Nada tenía que ver con los peluches que recolectaba poco a poco, ni la jugosa carne que sacarían, mucho menos con el costoso pelaje.

El día acabó en un tono positivo mientras dejaban en casa todo el enorme botín.
¿Acumulación de riquezas?
¿Desequilibrio medioambiental?
Nada de eso importaba en un bosque mágico lleno de brillitos y baba de bestia. Los gritos sobre equilibrio de un hassian pegado obsesivamente en la ventana de su casa eran una bonita decoración premium. Todas son ventajas. La vida es buena en Palia.

🇺🇲 Muujin Season

One beautiful day in the elderberry forest, Fium Amazona Sonic Boom and Sandía Pripra decided it was a great day to deforest.

Their goal? To collect 10 tree seeds.

How many trees would they cut down to achieve their goal?

The answer is: yes.

They were as happy as a capitalist empire in the Amazon rainforest. When the trees ran out and the last one stood before them, they didn't hesitate... They didn't expect the avalanche of muujis that pushed them in different directions.

Sandía Pripra was dismayed; however, Fium Amazona Sonic Boom pointed out with conviction that now that the muujis were homeless because of them, it was their moral duty not to let them suffer the fate of destitution.

The rest of the beautiful afternoon was spent eradicating the helpless species. Several oogopus survivors from previous hunts mocked how, at last, the pair of bloodthirsty hunters had left them alone and decided to mark that day as a holiday for their species called “Muujin Season.”

At one point, while Sandía Pripra was carrying sacks full of corpses and watching the carnage in the distance, she decided that she would simply ignore telling him that the old muujin houses were regenerating in his wake. Of course, this was all an altruistic act. Who was she to interfere with her companion's acts of kindness? It had nothing to do with the stuffed animals she was slowly collecting, nor the juicy meat they would get, much less the expensive fur.

The day ended on a positive note as they left all their enormous loot at home.

Accumulation of wealth?

Environmental imbalance?

None of that mattered in a magical forest full of glitter and beast slime. The cries for balance from a Hassian obsessively stuck to her window were a nice premium decoration. It's all good. Life is good in Palia.

En la taberna de Ashura, especialmente en las noches en que Sifuu ha bebido demasiado del famoso vino de almejas, se dice que en las profundidades de Elderwood viven los ogopuus.

Estas criaturas gorditas y saltarinas se parecen a cojines encantados. Su pelaje es tan suave que los niños sueñan con convertirlo en almohadas, y se dice que sus peluches son uno de los tesoros más codiciados de todo Kilima. Algunos incluso susurran que terminan en el mercado negro de Zeki, ese Grimalkin que siempre está dispuesto a vender cualquier cosa… especialmente cualquier cosa que brille o ronronee demasiado para ser legal.

A pesar de su adorable apariencia, los ogopuus son cualquier cosa menos dóciles. Cualquiera que se acerque demasiado descubre rápidamente su costumbre: escupen un barro espeso y pegajoso en cuanto ven una silueta, y luego salen corriendo en una huida caótica, zigzagueando a izquierda y derecha, con las patas delanteras levantadas como pequeños bailarines en pánico. El espectáculo es tan ridículo que provoca más risas que miedo. Pero cuidado: quien se burle de su baile ofende a las aguas de Elderwood, y sus redes volverán vacías.

Luego está Delaïla, la esposa de Badruu el granjero, que afirma que este barro tiene mil virtudes: “Perfecto para pegar suelas de zapatos”, dice mientras remienda la bota de su esposo por cuarta vez. Nadie se ha atrevido a comprobar si Badruu cojea por la caza o por los “remedios” de su esposa, pero todos asienten cortésmente.

El Cernuk altivo la observó mientras majestuoso se acercaba, escoltado a un joven que recién avanzaba hacia la adultez.

La forestal sabía que no podía cazarlos, las palabras de Hassian aún se escuchaban en el viento. "Se buena con el valle"

Brisaveloz se arrodilló y dejó una ofrenda: hojas dulces y unos brillampiñones, entonces se alejo en silencio.

El Cernuk se acercó, comio y se fue sin miedo.

En ese momento el bosque la aceptó como suya, y ya no la vió más como a una amenaza.

Así la cazadora, volvió a Kilima, sabiendo que su ciclo al fin estaba completo y que su historia para siempre permanecería intacta en algún lugar de los acantilados de Bahari.

🇺🇸 Fium Brisaveloz advanced up the steep slopes of Bahari.

The haughty Cernuk watched as he approached majestically, escorting a young man who was just entering adulthood.

The forest ranger knew she couldn't hunt them; Hassian's words still echoed in the wind. “Be good to the valley.”

Brisaveloz knelt and left an offering: sweet leaves and some shiny mushrooms, then walked away silently.

The Cernuk approached, ate, and left without fear.

At that moment, the forest accepted her as one of its own and no longer saw her as a threat.

And so the hunter, returned to Kilima, knowing that her cycle was finally complete and that her story would forever remain intact somewhere on the cliffs of Bahari

We must take caution so as not to alert them in any way we can, as we all know what happens if we do. As we slowly sneak in to watch them and their deadly spitting technique, we make one wrong step. That's all it takes we've messed up, and we know it. Their eyes focus on me, and mine on them. It is a moment of stillness before they make their move all sudden they take aim and fire we are not quick enough ahh crikey mate we been hit now all we can do is slow walk of shame, hoping no other Palian saw what happened. And you walk away, knowing better, and prepared for next time.

Y más arriba, los de pelaje verde se acercaban con los tres oogopus esmeralda más cerca de mí cuando me encontré con una horda de oogopuss. Cuando me acerco a ellos, me escupen su baba para ralentizarme. Luego se ponen sobre sus patas traseras. Luego vienen corriendo en mi dirección y empiezan a empujarme. Son muy ruidosos cuando los asustas o los sobresaltas, gritan solo para molestar. Los oogopus vienen en tres tipos de colores diferentes. I was going to go hunting. The oogopus where in set of the different probably Emerald, blue, and waveback. And more up the green coat's are coming with the three more Emerald oogopus near me to when I encountered a horde of oogopuss. When i get close to them they spit there goo on me to slow me down. Then they get in on there hindlegs . Then comes running at my direction and starts shove me around. They'll really loud when you startle them or scare them they yell just to be annoying. Oogopus come in three different types of colors. We got the emerald oogopus then we have the blue oogopus then we have the waveback oogopus. Then they run around and jump in whirlpools to escape me or a body of water that's nearby if there's no whirlpools. They always got to spit their mucus on me. Then I call the blue oogopus the blue coats are coming. I'm running around hunting oogopus when an oogopus respond right behind me and you'll screamed at me and jump scared me. The waveback is cakked the wave is coming. They like to hide around the trees and run behind rocks. I saw a a sky glitched oogopus. Like buddy why are you up in the sky man. It's more fun to hunt in a group. But if you have to do it solo. Try to make sure you got a straight away shots so you don't hit the trees or rocks. My bag got filled up pretty fast. From all the loot. I got a disagreement on the skins stackage needs to be more then ten it's max stack in inventory is bad compared to fur and hide. After this I'm going to need a shower from all the the gooey mucas they spit on me it's in my hair and clothes.

So she set out to the vast terrain of Kilima, her quiver full of iron arrows, and her stomach full of soon tofu. She snuck around the bright green hills, searching for the prey she needed. She crept quietly past many human ruins, observing the wildlife around her. A few times, she accidentally spooked a few sernuks, causing them to run far from her, making her lose their trail. As the day went on, missing more and more animals as they spotted her and ran off, her hope became less and less, and her stomach grew emptier. It took a long time, but suddenly, she came upon a hill full of sernuks and chapaas. She couldnt even count how mamy there werre, they were all spread across the small hill, just grazing about in the grass, unaware of her. Silently, she readied her bow, ensuring they hadn't noticed her yet, staying quiet until the perfect time to attack appeared. Suddenly, the air shifted, and she rained arrows down on her unsuspecting prey. In quick succession, she let out arrow after arrow, hitting her mark each time. She even caught a few that tried to run from her speedy arrows, yet their attempt to escape was futile. She continued shooting arrows until her quiver was empty, and she was nearly starving. Satisfied with her hunt, she picked up all of the loot, and decided to treat her rumbling stomach to some more soon tofu that she carried on her hunting trip. After eating, she decided to start her long journey home, ready to cook herself some nice sernuk noodle soup that she'd happily share with Hodari, and excited to make new exciting decorations that she'll happily decorate her new home with.
